About the role#
This externship at Montage Palmetto Bluff offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional hospitality environment. You will work within our pastry and baking team to produce high-quality food items for our restaurants and banquet services.
What you'll do#
- Prepare food products according to hotel standards and menu descriptions.
- Mentor Cook III and other kitchen staff by providing guidance and support.
- Maintain deep knowledge of food products, culinary techniques, and sanitation standards.
- Restock kitchen supplies and food items while keeping your workspace clean.
- Deliver on guest expectations to create memorable dining experiences.
- Fulfill orders in a timely manner with attention to detail.
What you'll need#
- At least one year of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel.
- A genuine passion for baking and pastry creation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Integrity and a trustworthy approach to your work.

- Location: Bluffton, South Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid externship.
- Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in environments ranging from freezers to hot kitchens.
