About the role#
The Culinary Internship and Externship at Montage Palmetto Bluff offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional hospitality kitchen. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Prepare hot and cold food items to meet hotel standards.
- Maintain knowledge of food products, culinary techniques, and sanitation standards.
- Fulfill guest orders efficiently with attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team while maintaining professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- A trustworthy nature and personal integrity.
- Openness to learning and developing your culinary skills.
- Previous experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel environment is a plus.
- Experience in a luxury hotel setting is also a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push or pull equipment weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Comfort working in environments ranging from freezers to hot kitchens.
