About the role#
The Culinary Internship and Externship program at Montage Palmetto Bluff offers hands-on experience in a professional kitchen setting. You will work alongside our culinary team to prepare dishes that meet our hotel standards while learning techniques and sanitation practices. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Prepare hot and cold food items according to established kitchen standards.
- Maintain knowledge of food products, culinary techniques, and sanitation requirements to execute dishes at a high level.
- Fulfill guest orders promptly with attention to detail.
- Work in a collaborative environment while maintaining professional standards.
- Assist with additional duties as needed based on business requirements.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- One year of experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel environment is a plus.
- Previous luxury hotel experience is a plus.
