About the role#
The 2027 Summer Student Program offers students the chance to work within the Finance and Controller divisions at our Houston office. You will gain hands-on experience in financial accounting, tax, and treasury operations while supporting our core business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Assist with corporate tax returns and related administrative tasks.
- Conduct the annual capital asset inventory.
- Help transition active employee files to an electronic platform.
- Support the preparation and review of annual benefit plan financial statements.
- Review vendor profiles to support risk management.
- Assist with the annual benefit plan audit for the Savings Plan, RIP, and Retiree Medical Payment Plan.
- Reconcile investment statements and review expenses, accruals, and rebates.
- Compile data for regulatory filings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, Texas.
