About the role#
Ascend is hiring a Tax Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This position provides hands-on experience in tax preparation, compliance, and planning. You will work directly with our tax professionals to support client projects and gain exposure to real-world financial scenarios.
What you'll do#
- Prepare 1040 and 1041 tax returns.
- Create supporting documentation for tax filings.
- Research tax regulations and apply findings to client situations.
- Assist the tax team with various projects and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting or Taxation degree program.
- A solid grasp of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Experience using Adobe PDF.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in San Jose, California.
- The internship is a paid role.
- This position is part-time.
