About the role#
The People and Culture Intern supports the Employee Experience team in delivering a consistent experience across the teammate lifecycle. This role provides hands-on exposure to talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, and people operations. You will help keep systems organized, support recruiting and onboarding activities, and assist with engagement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Maintain electronic teammate files and update information in Connect.
- Support onboarding by processing documentation and entering candidates into the system.
- Assist with interview scheduling, candidate communication, and sourcing.
- Conduct or support operations phone screens as needed.
- Help manage performance processes, including maintaining goal plans and updating teammate status.
- Coordinate onboarding sessions, including room setup, packet preparation, and meal coordination.
- Provide administrative support for learning programs, such as updating the LMS and tracking attendance.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in the People and Culture inbox.
- Support hiring events, job fairs, and student tours.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and special projects.
- Maintain shared spaces like The Garage.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Six months of administrative or customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment.
- Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, or learning management systems is preferred.
- Previous internship or experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, or Learning and Development is a plus.
- Interest in teammate engagement and talent processes.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time position based in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
- The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days on-site with an anchor day on Wednesdays.
- The anticipated pay rate is $20 per hour.
