About the role#
Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. is hiring a Legal Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Springfield, Missouri. You will work within the Executive Division alongside four in-house attorneys to support the legal needs of the organization.
What you'll do#
- Assist with regulatory and compliance matters.
- Participate in corporate governance and labor relations tasks.
- Manage document review and processing.
- Support the team during contract negotiations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Juris Doctorate program at an accredited institution.
- A class ranking in the top half of your class, with a preference for the top one-third.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to read and interpret complex legal documents.
- Prior experience with law journals, moot court, or trial teams is preferred.
