About the role#
This is a one-year co-op position based in Aurora, Ontario. You will work with the product design team to support design verification planning, test execution, and project scheduling. You may also assist the quotations department with costing exercises for upcoming customer projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design validation and verification testing through specification interpretation and in-house execution.
- Coordinate and manage third-party lab testing and perform laboratory audits.
- Generate and format detailed test reports.
- Operate and maintain laboratory test equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis when parts fail.
- Help the quotations department with costing exercises for future projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Solid understanding of GD&T.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with material property testing equipment, such as tensile test stands or environmental chambers.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality work.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in the automotive industry is an asset.
