About the role#
B&G Foods is hiring an Engineering Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Ankeny, Iowa. You will work within the packing or process department to support plant operations and improve manufacturing efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Manage engineering projects within the packing or process department.
- Support operations to meet safety, quality, and reliability metrics.
- Document new and modified standard operating procedures.
- Participate in experimental orders for new initiatives.
- Present improvement findings and results to plant leadership.
- Assist with the commissioning, qualification, and verification of new equipment.
- Work on sustainability projects such as waste reduction and energy savings.
- Communicate results and teach best practices to equipment operators.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore status or higher currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work without sponsorship.
- Willingness to relocate to or reside near Ankeny, Iowa, for the duration of the assignment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
- Comfort working in areas with extreme temperatures and around cleaning chemicals.
