    About the role#

    This internship offers the opportunity to work at the center of the Canadian economy. You will work under the direction of a division director to support the mandate and operations of the hiring department. This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2026 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct research and analysis on subjects relevant to your division.
    • Collect, organize, and manipulate data from various internal and external sources.
    • Contribute to team operations and analytical projects.
    • Communicate ideas and information clearly to target audiences.
    • Collaborate with team members, other departments, and external contacts.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in finance or economics.
    • Strong background in quantitative methods and trading systems.
    • Knowledge of the Canadian financial system.
    • Ability to program in common mathematical or statistical languages.
    • Completion of, or enrollment in, a CFA, FRM, or similar program is an asset.
    • Eligibility to obtain Reliability security clearance.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
    • Modality: Hybrid. Employees are expected on-site for a minimum of eight days per month. Candidates living outside a reasonable commuting distance may work 100% remotely from within Canada for the duration of the term.
    • Compensation: $30.94 per hour.
    • Priority is given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
