About the role#
This internship provides project-based assistance within the Human Resources division at our headquarters in Bismarck. It is designed to offer hands-on experience for students pursuing degrees in business or human resources. You will gain exposure to cooperative operations while supporting the team with daily tasks and specific assignments.
What you'll do#
- Support HR Business Partners with day-to-day activities including employee lifecycle processes and organizational updates.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and data analysis.
- Participate in projects focused on employee engagement, performance management, onboarding, and policy updates.
- Research HR best practices and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Coordinate employee events, training sessions, and communication initiatives.
- Maintain the accuracy of employee records and documentation within HR systems.
- Shadow HR Business Partners during employee meetings and cross-functional business discussions.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
- Follow all safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a four-year Business or Human Resources program, with at least two years completed, or you must be a recent graduate within the past 12 months.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- A transcript is required at the time of application.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is preferred.
- Additional certifications or coursework in your field of study is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (approximately May 17, 2027, through August 20, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $23.50 per hour.
- Physical demands include remaining in a stationary position, using office equipment, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
