About the role#
The Chemical Engineer Intern joins our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at our chemical processing facility in Pasadena, Texas. This is a paid, full-time position where you will support lead engineers and contribute to project execution within a cross-functional team.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard chemical engineering techniques and procedures to assigned tasks.
- Assist with the design of chemical systems and update existing designs.
- Analyze and resolve engineering problems.
- Manage and execute small projects.
- Support lead engineers with project-related concerns.
- Comply with all plant safety policies and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with the design team to complete project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current standing as a Junior or Senior in an accredited Chemical Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong technical, writing, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to follow directions and see tasks through to completion.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality work.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.

- Physical requirements include the ability to walk safely in industrial areas, lift up to 10 pounds, and work in an environment that requires wearing specific safety gear. You may need to travel overnight by air or road.
