About the role#
Beneva is looking for an actuarial intern to join the corporate actuarial team in Quebec. This is a full-time, paid internship focused on the evaluation and financial projection of life and health insurance products, including group insurance, individual insurance, and investment products.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate actuarial liabilities for financial statement production.
- Perform financial projections.
- Conduct experience studies to set actuarial assumptions.
- Develop and improve actuarial models.
- Analyze product profitability.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the first two years of a bachelor's degree in actuarial science by summer 2027. Students who have completed their first year are also encouraged to apply, with tasks adjusted accordingly.
- A focus on mathematics or statistics.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Programming skills are considered an asset.
