About the role#
As an actuarial intern within the Individual Insurance and Financial Services division, you will work alongside actuaries and other professionals. You will contribute to the development and pricing of insurance and financial products. The team supports the vice-presidency of Actuarial and Distribution Network Compensation.
What you'll do#
- Help develop products by monitoring the market and tracking product competitiveness.
- Participate in product pricing, including developing assumptions, analyzing experience, and monitoring profitability.
- Build and refine tools and reports used for product analysis.
- Assist with special quotation processes and perform calculations for specific client requests.
- Update sales tools provided to financial security advisors.
- Support analysts with ongoing projects and collaborate on budget tracking, surveys, and market research.
What you'll need#
- Completion of two years of a bachelor's degree in actuarial science by summer 2027. Students who have completed their first year are also encouraged to apply, with tasks adjusted accordingly.
- Strong teamwork skills and an analytical mindset.
- Autonomy in your work.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of SAS, R, or AXIS is an asset.
- A cover letter and your transcript are required in addition to your resume.
