About the role#
As a Civil Engineer Intern, you will support water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This full-time internship takes place during the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at one of our office locations to gain hands-on experience with engineering design and project execution.
What you'll do#
- Read and apply departmental design guides, engineering codes, and company policies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Research and recommend materials or equipment for project use.
- Perform basic engineering calculations using standard methods.
- Assist with project schedules, cost estimates, and the creation of engineering deliverables.
- Use engineering software, design tools, and digital delivery methods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
- An emphasis in Structural, Environmental, Transportation, or Geotechnical engineering is preferred.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- Coursework in water/wastewater, hydraulics, or fluid mechanics is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles, construction practices, and current industry technology trends.
- Ability to complete all pre-employment onboarding requirements.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Available locations include Coral Gables, FL; Coral Springs, FL; Fort Myers, FL; Atlanta, GA; and Greenville, SC.
