About the role#
As a Field Safety Intern for Summer 2027, you will support our project teams in maintaining a safe work environment. You will work on-site at a field project, where you will assist with the implementation of health and safety procedures. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in infrastructure construction.
What you'll do#
- Conduct safety and health training for employees.
- Perform routine site safety and health inspections.
- Implement project security programs and procedures.
- Manage record keeping and filing tasks.
- Enter safety data into word processing and spreadsheet programs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Industrial, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of safety and health standards and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform first aid or medical functions.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site at a field project in Kansas.
- You must be willing to relocate for the duration of the summer internship.
- This role involves physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working in extreme temperatures, and navigating uneven or confined job site areas.
