About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will support Water and Industrial Water projects. You will work within our systems sub-discipline to design mechanical equipment and systems. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
- Prepare basic calculations and assist in equipment selection.
- Analyze systems using computer modeling.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate project data.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to schedule project deliverables.
- Perform tasks to support engineering analyses and report production.
- Organize and file project materials and references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited university in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer tools.
- Coursework in fluids and thermodynamics is preferred.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
