About the role#
As a Structural Engineer Intern for our Power division, you will contribute to infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience in engineering design and analysis. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work directly with our teams to turn technical concepts into real-world solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of design specifications and contract drawings.
- Perform engineering analyses and assist with report production.
- Prepare basic calculations for project needs.
- Analyze systems using computer modeling software.
- Organize and maintain project materials and technical references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering program at an ABET-accredited university.
- A preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Completion of at least one design course.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete all pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Office locations include Cary, NC, Raleigh, NC, Chattanooga, TN, and Houston, TX.
