About the role#
This is a 4-month internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the Corporate Actuary team to support regulatory reporting, risk portfolio management, and strategic initiatives. This role requires working on-site in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Execute calculations and analysis for regulatory and management reporting.
- Extract and compile actuarial data to ensure risk portfolio conformity.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Assist with calculations related to the Appointed Actuary legal responsibilities.
- Review and analyze actuarial issues, including new product initiatives and financial business plans, for presentation to the Appointed Actuary.
- Check and review model outputs used for balance sheet liabilities, solvency reports, and capital calculations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an actuarial program.
- Completion of 3 to 4 actuarial exams.
- A post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
