About the role#
As a Climate Risk Reporting Analyst, you will support the team with project-based work focused on climate risk. You will conduct research, compile reports, and track BMO's exposure to climate risk impact areas. This role involves analyzing data to provide insights and recommendations while ensuring accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Build reports, create dashboards, and analyze data to support risk management.
- Review regulatory data for mass assumptions and ensure efficient reporting solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement reporting tools to meet management and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data for capital at risk modeling and risk/return assessments.
- Work with data owners to select and utilize internal and external data sources.
- Monitor and measure key risk indicators while highlighting trends, variances, and exposures.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary information and documentation.
- Help develop tools and deliver training on key data elements used in risk reporting.
- Organize work information to maintain accuracy and completeness across all processes.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced Excel.
- Experience with Power BI is preferred.
- Knowledge of risk management metrics, KPIs, KRIs, and risk systems technology.
- Understanding of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and risk management theory.
- In-depth analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
