About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Winter 2027 based in Calgary, Alberta. You will work on-site to provide administrative support to business groups, helping to keep daily operations running smoothly. You will complete standardized tasks under supervision while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Provide general office support and clerical tasks.
- Manage filing systems and maintain accurate databases.
- Prepare funding approval requests and track department budget invoices.
- Resolve or escalate invoice discrepancies.
- Coordinate work orders for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain office supply inventory.
- Schedule meetings, manage room setups, and coordinate catering or conference calls.
- Book travel arrangements and prepare itineraries for management.
- Answer central phone lines and resolve inquiries.
- Write, edit, and distribute communication materials.
- Process updates to departmental procedures.
- Track staff attendance and verify timesheets.
- Coordinate office premises changes, such as relocations or furniture needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with the intent to return to studies.
- A high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Basic verbal and written communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of general office procedures and equipment, including printers and photocopiers.
- General knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
- A Certificate in Office Administration is considered an asset.
