    About the role#

    This is a 12-week, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to gain practical experience with active building construction projects. You will work alongside project engineers, superintendents, and project managers to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world challenges.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform quantity take-offs, layout, and site surveys.
    • Assist with RFIs, submittals, and shop drawing reviews.
    • Support quality control and safety programs.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and owners.
    • Attend and document project meetings.
    • Assist in maintaining project schedules and cost tracking.
    • Review construction documents and specifications.
    • Participate in punch-list and project closeout activities.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited program in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
    • Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
    • Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with scheduling software is a plus.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Duration: 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
    • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship. A housing stipend is available for students living more than 50 miles from their assigned work location.
