About the role#
The Investment Analyst intern joins the Development and Capital teams for the Summer 2027 term. You will support the department through market research, financial modeling, and due diligence tasks. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Indianapolis.
What you'll do#
- Partner with the team to source and assess prospective development opportunities and gain internal approval.
- Prepare presentation materials including demographic analysis, market research, and competitive product evaluations.
- Create initial Proformas for new developments, covering conceptual financial analysis and feasibility modeling.
- Collaborate with property management leadership to estimate rental levels and project expenses.
- Research development costs, including physical construction, site development, and pre-development expenses.
- Assemble debt and equity financing packages for development deals and fund opportunities.
- Communicate with brokers, lenders, legal counsel, and government agencies as needed.
- Assist with documentation for closings related to acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
- Analyze RFPs for market feasibility and opportunity.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a college degree in Finance or Commercial Real Estate.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable private transportation.
- Familiarity with Commercial Real Estate market research software is a plus.
