About the role#
LV Collective is looking for an intern to join the Investments Team in Austin for Summer 2027. You will work directly with the team to evaluate development and acquisition opportunities across the United States. This role involves financial modeling, market research, and active participation in the due diligence and closing processes for our multifamily and student housing portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with underwriting new opportunities and building detailed financial models.
- Complete a full underwriting project for a live pipeline deal.
- Conduct due diligence and develop business plans for new projects.
- Perform market research on student housing and multifamily sectors.
- Maintain current data on rental rates, occupancy, and pre-leasing for active markets.
- Monitor industry trends to provide insights for decision-making.
- Prepare investment summaries, pitch decks, and presentations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to keep projects aligned with goals and timelines.
- Support the full cycle of real estate finance from land identification to closing.
- Attend weekly project coordination meetings.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or an engineering discipline like Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A graduation year of 2028 or 2029 is preferred.
- Previous internship experience or campus involvement in real estate or finance is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- An interest in learning and applying AI tools to improve research and workflow efficiency.
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Austin, Texas.
