    About the role#

    Building & Earth hires over 30 civil engineering students each year for this internship. You will work on-site at commercial construction projects across the Southeast. This is a paid, full-time, rolling internship that provides hands-on experience in geotechnical analysis and materials testing.

    What you'll do#

    • Document construction projects.
    • Study rocks and soil mechanics.
    • Perform tests on materials including concrete, soils, rebar, and mortar.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Geology, or a related field.
    • You have completed your freshman year of college.
    • You hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
    • You are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
    • You can follow directions with minimal supervision.
    • You have good communication skills and a customer service attitude.
    • You are able to drive a company vehicle.
    • ACI Field Level I Certification is preferred but not required.
