About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term based in Quebec. You will report to an Actuarial Manager and work alongside Actuarial Associates and senior leadership. Depending on the team, you will gain exposure to pricing, corporate actuarial work, or business intelligence and analytics.
What you'll do#
- Run applications for data extraction and analyze the results.
- Contribute to monthly reserve reviews and analyze claims diagnostics.
- Assist with developing actuarial indications and underlying assumptions.
- Build and maintain models for profitability, growth, and segmentation to predict customer cost and behavior.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support the needs of various business units.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program focused on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Finance.
- Familiarity with programming languages or tools such as Excel, VBA, Python, SAS, or SQL.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while producing quality work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
- A proactive, adaptable, and autonomous approach to your work.
