About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Actuarial Internship based in Montreal for the Summer 2027 term. You will work under the supervision of an Actuarial Manager and collaborate with associates and senior management. This role provides exposure to pricing, corporate actuarial functions, or business intelligence and analytics.
What you'll do#
- Run applications for data extraction and analyze the results.
- Contribute to monthly reserve reviews and analyze claims diagnostics.
- Assist in month-end financial reporting.
- Build and maintain profitability, growth, and segmentation models to predict customer cost and behavior.
- Update, improve, and maintain data relied upon by the Actuarial Department.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program focused on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in both English and French, as you will communicate regularly with teams across the country.
- An analytical mindset and the ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering quality work.
- Familiarity with Excel, VBA, Python, SAS, SQL, or other programming languages is an asset.
