About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is hiring a Clinical Study Student Assistant to support a research project within the Nutrition and Food Science Department. This role offers hands-on experience with clinical study procedures and direct engagement with research faculty.
What you'll do#
- Complete training on clinical study protocols, food handling, and participant interaction.
- Prepare, label, and organize food samples for distribution to participants.
- Manage the distribution of study materials and track inventory records.
- Assist the research team with participant scheduling, study visits, and data collection.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, and storage facilities.
- Follow all instructions provided by the Principal Investigator to meet study objectives.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in food science and nutrition.
- Ability to work in-person with a group.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field is preferred.
- Previous lab experience in food processing and engineering is a plus.

- Location: Pomona, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time student assistant position.
- The project is funded for 70 hours of work at $18 per hour.
