About the role#
California Aeronautical University is hiring a Student Worker to serve as a Certificated Flight Instructor. You will provide instruction to students enrolled in flight lab courses, covering everything from private pilot training to multi-engine certification. Your goal is to keep students on track with their academic schedules while maintaining a safe flight environment.
What you'll do#
- Lead preflight and post flight briefings for assigned students.
- Deliver flight instruction that meets University and ACS standards.
- Manage student progress and ensure flight scheduling stays on pace to meet course objectives.
- Maintain accurate and secure flight records for each student.
- Report safety concerns through the University Safety Management System.
- Follow all University Standard Operating Procedures and federal regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current certifications required to provide flight instruction.
- Ability to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal aviation regulations.
- Experience keeping detailed flight operation records.
