About the role#
The Dispatch Student Worker supports the scheduling and delivery of flight lessons at California Aeronautical University. This role handles daily operations at the Dispatch desk and assists with flight training activities. You will work on-site in Bakersfield to ensure that flight operations run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Greet students and visitors to help them with their needs.
- Answer general questions from the student body.
- Manage the stand-by fly list and handle scheduling changes.
- Assist with daily Dispatch desk and Flight Operations tasks.
- Communicate with students through email.
- Coordinate with the Line Department on tasks like fuel orders and tracking oil usage.
- Ramp in and out of flight student training sessions.
- Complete closing operation procedures.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at California Aeronautical University.
- Maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Keep accurate records and ensure the security of campus files and reports.
- Follow all local, state, federal, and accreditation regulations.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records.
- Understand FAA requirements for flight training and ensure all documentation and endorsements are current.
- Know the history, features, and programs of the university.
