    About the role#

    As an Exploitation Engineering Student, you will work with engineers to support the evaluation and development of upstream oil and gas assets. You will contribute to reservoir analysis and production performance evaluations for both conventional and thermal assets. This role involves applying academic knowledge to technical studies and development planning.

    What you'll do#

    • Review active and inactive wells to evaluate reservoir and production performance.
    • Analyze production, drilling, completion, geological, and reservoir data to support asset evaluations.
    • Support production forecasting, reservoir characterization, and field development planning.
    • Assist with technical studies to identify opportunities for optimizing recovery.
    • Collaborate with Reservoir, Production, Geoscience, and Operations teams to support asset development strategies.
    • Perform data gathering and analysis to assist with engineering recommendations.
    • Participate in economic evaluations and maintain engineering reports and tools.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, or Architectural engineering.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, or Python is an asset.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • A valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent provincial license.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
    • Work schedule: Full-time, 5 days on and 2 days off (Monday to Friday).
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Term availability: Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027.
    • This is a paid position.
