    About the role#

    As a Project Engineering Student, you will join the Engineering Services team to support the management of projects at the Saint John Refinery and Canadian terminals. You will work alongside Project Engineers to manage technical and engineering tasks through various project phases. This role offers exposure to project development, including planning, scheduling, cost management, and collaboration with internal and external teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Help prepare schedules, timelines, and resource plans for engineering projects.
    • Support the update of project documentation and track milestone progress.
    • Assist in preparing reports for project performance metrics.
    • Work with Project Engineers on technical tasks, such as reviewing drawings, specifications, and ensuring compliance.
    • Use AutoCAD for basic design or layout updates.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering at an accredited institution.
    • Commitment to returning to school after the work term.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
    • Strong relationship management skills.
    • Ability to adapt to change and pivot as project needs evolve.
    • Openness to feedback and critical thinking skills.
    • Experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Saint John, New Brunswick.
    • The term is rolling.
