About the role#
As an Asset Integrity & Preventative Maintenance Intern, you will work with the Technical Services team to support the safe and reliable operation of infrastructure. This role involves a mix of office-based project work and field visits to facilities. You will collaborate with Asset Integrity, Preventative Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve performance and maintain regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Manage Safety Relief Valve inventory and verify design requirements.
- Support small-scale process piping and replacement-in-kind projects.
- Ensure all work meets ASME B31 and internal corporate specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors, fabricators, and Owner Inspectors.
- Review and manage Piping Quality Control documentation.
- Help implement the Fiix Preventative Maintenance Program across 50+ facilities.
- Assist with asset inspection, repairs, and equipment standardization.
- Audit and tag equipment while implementing governance programs.
- Work to enhance safety, reduce costs, and minimize downtime.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Process or Mechanical Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and shutdown keys.
- Basic understanding of process piping and ASME B31 Code.
- Fundamental knowledge of industrial processes.
- Strong computer skills and clear written and verbal communication.
- A customer-focused mindset and a desire for continuous learning.
- Must be enrolled in a recognized internship program.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Term: 12-16 month fixed-term contract beginning in May 2027, with potential for summer, fall, winter, or spring placements.
