About the role#
This position supports the operations team in Edmonton. You will work on enhancing process efficiency, supporting daily workflows, and analyzing data related to production and services. This role provides hands-on experience in operations management through direct involvement in projects that aim to improve organizational productivity. You will work both independently and with the team, with some travel required to support regional sites.
What you'll do#
- Analyze operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Track and analyze operational metrics to prepare performance reports.
- Assist with resource planning and the scheduling of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to implement process improvements and monitor outcomes.
- Provide operational support for day-to-day activities.
- Participate in special projects and assist with data entry and organization.
- Facilitate communication between operations, field staff, and other departments.
- Travel to different sites as needed to support operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary institution in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret workflow data and metrics.
- High attention to detail for process tracking and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.
- Experience with process mapping tools or operations software is an asset.
