About the role#
Secure is hiring a People & Culture Co-op student to work with our Talent Acquisition and Business Partnering teams in Calgary. This role provides hands-on experience in human resources, ranging from recruitment support to employee lifecycle management. You will gain exposure to daily operations, internal projects, and team initiatives while working alongside experienced professionals in a professional office environment.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Business Partnering teams to support daily priorities.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements and candidate interviews, including phone screens and scheduling.
- Assist with Talent Acquisition operations such as invoice processing and tracking.
- Support employee lifecycle activities, documentation, and follow-up tasks.
- Contribute to People & Culture projects, research, audits, and reporting.
- Maintain the accuracy of department trackers and process documentation.
- Help organize P&C meetings, events, and employee initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within team processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or related post-secondary program.
- Registration in a recognized co-op or internship program through an accredited institution.
- Availability for a work term of four to eight months, starting in Summer 2027.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks.
- Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail.
- Comfort handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities such as sports, student groups, or volunteer work.
