About the role#
The Retail Management Intern program offers students hands-on experience in retail operations. You will gain skills and insights for a future career in the industry while working in a professional retail environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the Cavender’s culture and our mission, vision, and values.
- Learn sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers.
- Handle transactions, process returns, and manage the final point-of-sale experience.
- Assist with daily store opening and closing procedures.
- Manage stocking, visual merchandising, and sales data analysis.
- Help with local store events and promotional campaigns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for business, retail management, marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High integrity to represent the company in a respectful and positive manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capacity to interpret documents, understand complex issues, and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both individually on projects and within a team.

- Location: Knoxville, Tennessee.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
- The program term is rolling.
