About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in forensic accounting and litigation support. You will work alongside senior team members to learn how accounting frameworks and tax laws apply to legal environments. This is a full-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Review and summarize federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Assist with preliminary valuation, forensic, and appraisal analyses, including data entry for expert witness exhibits.
- Help the discovery team inventory and reconcile data for submission to courts, attorneys, and clients.
- Develop professional relationships with client staff to support service goals.
- Maintain high standards of client confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Use Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to complete daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting with plans to achieve CPA eligibility.
- Strong research, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external clients.
- Experience in accounting, auditing, or investigative services through academics or previous work.
- Skill in multi-tasking and independent problem-solving.
- Active participation in student organizations is a plus.
