About the role#
As an intern on the Forensic Investigations team, you will help uncover facts and analyze financial information related to fraud, disputes, and business challenges. You will work alongside accountants, economists, and industry specialists to support high-impact matters. This role offers exposure to how accounting, finance, and legal concepts intersect in real-world situations.
What you'll do#
- Research companies, industries, financial data, and economic trends to identify key facts.
- Review and analyze financial and non-financial information, summarizing findings for project teams.
- Support the preparation of forensic accounting, damages, and investigation reports.
- Help evaluate reports prepared by other experts by checking their logic, assumptions, and supporting data.
- Participate in communications with clients and legal teams.
- Assist with preparation for hearings, trials, and mediations, and attend these proceedings when appropriate.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time, stay organized, and balance multiple deadlines.
- Comfort working independently while knowing when to ask thoughtful questions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Clear communication skills.
- Previous internship experience in forensic investigations, audit, accounting, finance, or consulting is helpful.
- Interest in professional credentials such as CPA, CFF, CFA, CFE, or ABV is a plus.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
