About the role#
This is a full-time Tax Internship for the Winter 2028 term based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will work on-site, collaborating with team members and clients to support tax engagements across various industries. This role is designed for students who want to gain hands-on experience in tax preparation while working alongside professionals.
What you'll do#
- Prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections.
- Research tax issues and related financial reports.
- Use data analysis skills to identify useful patterns and support recommendations.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and firm associates in a professional and timely manner.
- Gather necessary information from clients to complete required documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes.
- Perform a limited number of tax return interviews as needed.
- Utilize current tax and accounting software applications.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
- Completion of a corporate or individual taxation course.
- Above average knowledge in accounting, with a preferred 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Progress toward eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
- Ability to think independently and make decisions based on your education and experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
