About the role#
Cerity Partners is hiring a Tax Intern for the Spring 2027 season. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in the financial industry. You will work 25-30 hours per week from January through mid-April. This role is designed to complement your formal education with practical work at a registered investment advisory firm.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses using UltraTax CS.
- Create workpapers in Engagement Manager and SurePrep to document project preparation.
- Manage workflow status using FirmFlow and GoFileRoom.
- Research and analyze various tax issues.
- Assist Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators with additional tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
- Active participation in campus organizations, ideally in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Consistent attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
