About the role#
The Metals Logistic/Traffic Coordinator Intern supports the movement of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials and finished metal products. You will act as a liaison between traders, suppliers, yard operations, and transportation providers to keep shipments on schedule and within budget.
What you'll do#
- Schedule inbound and outbound shipments for various material types.
- Coordinate truck, rail, container, and intermodal transport.
- Optimize freight routing to reduce transit times and costs.
- Communicate daily shipment schedules to operations, traders, and customers.
- Enter, track, and maintain shipment records using CROW/RIMAS software.
What you'll need#
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or Operations Management is preferred.
- Prior experience in logistics, traffic, or supply chain coordination.
- Familiarity with metals recycling, scrap, steel, manufacturing, or bulk materials.
- A strong understanding of truckload and LTL freight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- This is an on-site, full-time internship located in Tullahoma, Tennessee.
- The position operates on a rolling basis.
