    About the role#

    The Comité Écologique du Grand Montréal is hiring for biodiversity protection positions. These roles are open to students seeking internships or seasonal work. You will work on environmental projects focused on urban ecosystems in Montreal.

    What you'll do#

    • Enhance natural environments in urban areas like Saint-Laurent and Côte Saint-Luc.
    • Talk to the public about protecting local ecosystems.
    • Remove invasive plant species such as buckthorn and phragmites.
    • Prepare sites for renaturalization projects.
    • Plant native trees, shrubs, and perennials.
    • Maintain equipment and wildlife installations.
    • Clean up work sites.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be between 18 and 30 years old.
    • You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
    • You have a genuine interest in environmental protection.
    • You are comfortable working in urban natural settings.
    • You enjoy working as part of a team.
    • Students in fields like Environmental Engineering, Biology, Public Health, Agriculture, or Sociology are encouraged to apply.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site role based in Montreal, Quebec.
    • The term runs during Summer 2026, with positions lasting up to 5 months.
    • Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 34 hours per week.
    • This is a paid, full-time position.
