About the role#
As a Financial Planning & Analysis Co-op Student, you will join our Corporate Analytics team. You will support monthly financial analysis and forecasting initiatives while gaining exposure to corporate financial operations. This role offers an opportunity to implement financial concepts in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Compile monthly management reporting deliverables.
- Use Tableau to identify trends in benefit costs, utilization, and other financial performance drivers.
- Assist with scenario modeling for corporate planning and regulatory filings.
- Provide data for insurance industry surveys and analyze results for our Senior Leadership Team.
- Support projects within our finance transformation initiative.
- Collaborate with the broader Corporate Analytics, Finance, and Accounting teams.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary Co-op program.
- Progress toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, actuarial science, math, or a technical field.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R.
- Ability to query, process, and analyze large datasets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and a desire to learn.
