About the role#
Code Ninjas in Shiloh is hiring Camp Directors for the summer of 2027. This role involves managing daily operations for either morning or afternoon sessions. You will lead staff, interact with children ages 5 to 14, and communicate with parents about student progress. This is a full-time, paid position that offers opportunities for interns in business administration, computer science, or marketing.
What you'll do#
- Oversee camp operations Monday through Friday.
- Recruit, organize, and coordinate staff, including sensei team members.
- Prepare materials for daily activities and special events.
- Manage inquiries from families via email, social media, and in-person.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, calendars, and activities.
- Report progress to the executive team.
- Ensure the center remains a clean, safe, and fun learning environment.
- Handle sensitive information and address any emergency or accident issues.
- Represent the program to the community and parents.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check.
- 2-3 years of experience working in a camp, recreation, or school setting with children.
- Currently enrolled in or graduated from a college or university, with a preference for degrees in business, marketing, or computer science.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media, and basic office technology.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Previous supervisory or summer camp experience is helpful.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

- Location: Shiloh, Illinois.
- Schedule: You must be available for training from May 26 to May 29 and maintain regular attendance from June 1 to August 7.
