About the role#
The Sales Intern will support the Sales department, gaining a foundational understanding of material products and their applications. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027 based in Brea, California. You will work on-site and shadow team members to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service by understanding and meeting client needs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Prepare and submit accurate quotes, contracts, and pricing strategies.
- Maintain detailed customer records using automated systems.
- Provide post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Shadow Sales team members and travel to various job sites.
- Develop a pipeline of projects and coordinate job-site services.
- Monitor market trends, product innovations, and competitor activities.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a college degree program for Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed for job site visits.
