About the role#
Consumers Energy is building a pool of candidates for upcoming internship and co-op positions. This program offers students hands-on experience in the energy industry, focusing on skill development and the practical application of classroom knowledge. These roles are paid, full-time positions.
What you'll do#
- Provide hands-on support for design and development projects.
- Work within energy delivery, including electric engineering, gas engineering, and energy operations.
- Collaborate with full-time staff to carry out daily engineering functions.
- Participate in optional networking events and company tours.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Ability to work on-site at an assigned location.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Locations: Various sites throughout Michigan.
- Terms available: Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Summer 2027, and Winter 2027.
- Work modality: On-site.
