About the role#
This internship program provides students with hands-on experience in the energy industry. You will work alongside full-time employees to support engineering functions across the business. This role is open to students pursuing degrees for terms including Summer 2027 and Fall 2026. Please note that this position does not offer immigration sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Provide design and development support for energy delivery projects.
- Assist with electric engineering, gas engineering, and energy operations.
- Participate in tasks related to Low Voltage Distribution Planning and Substation Design.
- Work on projects such as distribution standards, instrumentation, and system engineering.
- Collaborate with team members to complete engineering assignments.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ABET-accredited bachelor's or master's program in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.

- This is an on-site position located in Michigan.
- You must be within a commutable distance of your assigned headquarters.
- This is a paid internship.
