About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship based at the BOSS Snowplow facility in Iron Mountain, Michigan. You will work directly with EHS personnel and operations teams to support programs that protect people, equipment, and the environment from risk and injury.
What you'll do#
- Support and implement projects focused on safety, risk reduction, and environmental protection.
- Update EHS documentation, including job hazard analysis and process documents.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training, audits, program reviews, and hazard identification.
- Maintain EHS metric boards and prepare documentation for review.
- Assist with the submission of regulatory reports.
- Collaborate with site personnel on hazard assessments and JSAs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited educational program, specifically in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Knowledge of current Federal and State EHS regulations and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications.
- A self-directed approach to work with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
