About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work under close supervision to support departments in science, planning, and technology. This role is based on-site in Nashville, Tennessee.
What you'll do#
- Assist project team members with support tasks, including the development of maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reports.
- Conduct basic research and data collection.
- Maintain project-specific records, collections, and files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a related undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in technology, particularly GIS.
- Familiarity with GIS applications like ArcGIS Pro, FieldMaps, and Experience Builder.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- An interest in transportation, infrastructure, and the environment.
- A desire to learn and stay current on transportation planning.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and visual documentation.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
