About the role#
HNTB is hiring a Planning Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship based in our Central States offices. You will work under close supervision to support our planning and infrastructure departments.
What you'll do#
- Assist project team members with various support tasks.
- Conduct basic research and gather data for ongoing projects.
- Maintain project records, files, and collections.
- Help create graphics, reports, and presentation materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program related to Urban Planning or Civil Engineering.
- A strong interest in transportation, infrastructure, and traffic modeling.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
Location & details#
This position is available in Kansas City, MO; Oklahoma City, OK; Overland Park, KS; Des Moines, IA; and St. Louis, MO. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided for this role. Visa sponsorship is not available.
